Fashion and shopping

Two-three years now it was very unusual to wear clothes that was expressed our personality. Now it is fashionable to mix various colours and materials. For example at festivals you can be the best if you wear the most special clothes.

As my age at school people don’t dresses up very provocative. In my experience we just match comfortable jeans and shoes. There are many most picked up clothes and accessories such as a converse shoes, an air max, a jacket, a big and fancy necklace…

At a party girls often wear mini-skirt and high-heeled shoes and boys wear shirt. In Hungary there are lot of nightclub that have dress-code and maybe this is why I often hear that the 18 year old girls look like the same.

If you would stand out from the crown, even at school or even at the party you can bravely wear clothes what reflect your personality.

I found a Hungarian blog, called ‘Festy in style’ and I really like it because the girl who makes it can inspire people with new clothing ideas.

Shopping is one of Hungarian young people's favourite spare-time activities. Usually people go shopping when they need to buy some clothes or food or anything they just need. But young adults also like to spend some time look around the shops because it's a good reason to be with your friends and you might find something useful to yourself as well. There are several malls in Budapest - which is the capital of Hungary -, for example West End, Aréna Pláza, Corvin plaza, Árkád, etc. It's a fact that teenagers follow the fashion or at least they try to. Both girls and boys are prefer the same shops, like Zara, Bershka, H&M, C&A, Tally Weijl, New Yorker, Reserved etc. Adults are a bit different, because they want to be fashionable, but they are more responsible and they know how much money they can spend on clothes, shoes, jewellery and other things, so they might prefer cheaper clothes. Those who cannot afford buy expensive products can shopping in Asia Centre or Sárkány Centre, but most people - almost teenagers - consider it lame or embarrassing to buy anything there, because it hasn't got a real brand.
